Chassis (CH)

CH2301Chassis Engineer
Job Description– Design, analyze, and develop a FSAE tubular chassis in Solidworks
– Complete components drawing and documentation
– Run simulations on the chassis 
– Communicate and act with other sub-teams on mounting components onto the car
– Ensure safety of the driver on their equipments and components on chassis
Field of Study– Any Engineering discipline is welcomed
Requirements– Willing to learn and talk
– Basic Solidworks skills
– Knowledge of Ansys usage (preferred)
– Be a fan of motorsports (plus)

CH2302Mechanical Engineer
Job Description– Design, analyze, and develop a FSAE tubular chassis in Solidworks
– Design and optimize parts with other sub-teams when required
– Communicate and act with other sub-teams on mounting components onto the car
– Run FEA and topology simulations on the chassis

– Cooperate with AR for the aerodynamic characteristics of the car and the placement of the radiators

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve regulatory compliance issues.
– Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure continuous improvement in powertrain regulatory compliance.

Job Description– Design the suspension geometry and simulate static suspension geometry using Lotus
-Simulate a mathematic model target to the dynamic suspension behaviour under various conditions (pumping & rolling) and obtain a-arm forced by Adams
-Designing and optimizing the suspension components and system to meet specific performance goals such lightweight and high reliability by static and topology simulation
– Formulate the manufacturing plan of suspension component, such as springs, dampers, control arms, and anti-roll bars.
– Working closely with suppliers to ensure the manufacturing and assembly of suspension components meet the required specifications

VD2302Tire Analyst
Job Description– Analyze the tire data and develop tire model with Matlab or Python
– Conducting tests and evaluations on different tire models and compounds to assess their performance and durability
– Providing feedback to meet the team’s specific requirements
– Collaborate closely with Suspension Designer and Steering Designer to select appropriate tires and rims for optimal performance
– Monitoring and managing tire pressures and temperatures during testing and competition.
– Analyzing data collected during testing, such as tire grip, wear rates, and temperature sensitivity, to provide insights and recommendations to the team

– Ensuring the components are lightweight, durable, and capable of providing consistent and powerful braking performance

– Designing the pedal assembly such as the brake and accelerator pedal
– Design various components of the braking system, such as the brake calipers, brake discs or rotors, brake pads, brake lines, and master cylinders
